Taking the Junior Ranger Oath

The Zion Junior Ranger Explorer program is offered for kids ages 6 to 12 during the summer months. The activities are created and presented with a young person's level of learning and interest in mind. See "Junior Ranger Program" below for more information.

Curriculum-based, in-class educational programs are available each spring and fall for 2nd to 6th grade classes. These outreach programs are offered to elementary schools in Washington County and those within a 50-mile radius of the park.

Junior Ranger Program

Zion offers a guided and self-guided Junior Ranger experience. Self-guided activity booklets are available year-round at the park visitor centers and the Zion Canyon Human History Museum. During the summer months, join us for a Junior Ranger Explorer program, a special discovery program designed just for kids ages 6 to 12.
